Leti's songs on this CD are about the De La Vega side of her family. These songs are about her family members as well as of things that she was a part of growing up on her grandfather's ranch (Rancho Viejo) in Mexico. As with Leti's early CD's, several generations of the De La Vega family perform on this CD.
Leti presents more of her family's original blend of music. Leti's family music reflects the influences of the styles of music they learned in Mexico and Texas. Music has been a part of the De la Vega family for generations. "Papa Blues" performed by Leo De La Vega (Leti's brother) is a tribute to their father. This CD contains songs written not only by Leo but also by her mother Eustolia De La Vega, her brother Richard De La Vega and his wife Rebecca and of course songs by Leti.
